Cygnet Fairmorne // halfbreed Elezen [WoL]

The half-Hyur Elezen known as Cygnet Fairmorne would have been another halfbreed Brume rat were it not for the resourcefulness of his mother. A seamstress with a kindness for distributing repaired socks and gloves to the lesser-fortunate and freezing of Ishgard, she caught the eye of a scion of House Dzemael. Knowing exactly what would become of the two of them should she stay, she left the city as soon as she and her newborn were strong enough, claiming to be bound for the Coerthan countryside to stay with family. (Cygnet's father didn't object to this - expecting his bastard of a problem to be solved by a hungry dragon or marauding bandit.) Instead she smuggled herself into the Twelveswood, settling in the forest just outside Fallgourd Float.

Cygnet's magical affinity manifested with his gender dysphoria - disastrously he was caught by Wood Wailers making offerings to the Elementals in hopes of stopping the onset of female puberty. Arcanima was more suited to his talents, and he was bundled off as a young teenager to Limsa Lominsa to study. A dutiful pupil, the only disastrous incident to his name was right at the beginning - Cygnet immediately drafted an arcane formula that would give him the body he wanted. Inexperience cost him in the end. While he was able to achieve his goal, it left him with dramatic scarring across his torso and back.
